Steve Nash is one of the greatest point guards of all time and has a impressive list of accolades, including back-to-back MVP awards in 2004 and 2005.
The Canadian media gave Nash the nickname ‘Captain Canada’ when he was captain of Canada’s men’s basketball team in the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games.
Nash became the first Canadian to be selected as an NBA All-Star in 2002, he would go on to become an eight-time All-Star in his career.
In addition to being one of the top athletes in Canada’s sports history, Nash does a lot of philanthropy and charity work. In 2007, Nash received the Order of Canada, the highest civilian award of Canada, in recognition of his humanitarian and charitable work through his Steve Nash Foundation.
