Pat Rafter ‘Skunky’

Patrick Rafter is an Australian former World No.1 tennis player, twice US Open champion, and twice runner-up at Wimbledon.

Rafter got his nickname ‘Skunky’ from his friends because of the white patch in his hair, which is due to a condition known as poliosis.

In an interview on The Clare Balding Show, Rafter gave a funny explanation as to the other reason he is known as ‘Skunky’

Rafter won the Australian of the Year award in 2002, an award which recognizes inspiring individuals, who lead as role models for their communities and the nation.
