Ken Rosewall ‘Muscles’

Australian tennis great, Ken Rosewall was known as ‘Muscles’, a sarcastic nickname in reference to his size of 5’7″ and slender build of 145 pounds. It was a nickname that was started by his doubles teammate Lew Hoad, whom himself was one of the finest Australian tennis players.

The strengths of Rosewall’s game was his speed, quickness, agility and placement.
