Darko Milicic is a name often mentioned whenever there is a discussion about NBA busts. The 7 foot Serbian former professional basketball player was selected No.2 overall in the 2003 draft, behind LeBron James, but ahead of Carmelo Anthony, Chris Bosh, Dwyane Wade and Kyle Korver.
People thought that Milicic was going to be a franchise player, but over his 10-year NBA career only averaged 6 points and 18.5 minutes, and hence considered a bust.
Milicic was nicknamed ‘The Human Victory Cigar’, because when he was put in the game it was usually already such a lopsided game that one team could light the proverbial victory cigar.
