Dale Earnhardt was known as ‘The Intimidator’ because of his aggressive driving style. He had a killer instinct and had no qualms in bumping competitors from behind to intimidate them.
The nickname came about in 1987 after he forced Bill Elliott to spin out in the final segment of the NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race (also known as “The Winston”).
Earnhardt’s amazing career included the following accomplishments:
